Jasper National Park
Driving North on the 200-mile-long Icefields Parkway to Jasper National Park, I was awed by a line of tall mountain peaks, lakes, waterfalls and the mighty Athabasca and Saskatchewan Rivers all along the way. About half-way to Jasper, the magnificent Columbia Icefields brings glaciers within easy walking distance. The town of Jasper is surrounded by 10,000-foot peaks, gorgeous lakes and immense river valleys. As an unexpected bonus, I stayed in a little town East of Jasper—and along the road encountered a bull elk with enormous antlers and a family of curious bighorn sheep.
We download a small library of images to display on each of these gallery pages. That takes a number of seconds, but we think you will very much enjoy the result!
