Cauldron Linn is a small river gorge in an agriculture area near the small town of Murtagh, less than a half-hour drive from Twin Falls.

Here, the Snake River is tortured through this small gorge on its way to Shoshone Falls. When you look at the volume of water flowing over Shoshone Falls, you realize that a lot of rain water and snow melt is added to the Snake river between here and Shoshone Falls. Seems like two different rivers, but it is the same Snake.

One of the local citizens I met here was surprised to a Vegas license plate. He told me that most locals don’t know about Cauldron Linn.
