This large lake with its dramatic, huge dam is located eastward from Boise. It is in another very stark, deep canyon which accentuates the visual impact of the dam. A dirt road runs around the bank of the river on the northwestern shore.
The road has many loops atop peninsulas jutting out into the lake which make great launch points. On one flight, I had carelessly parked my car on the deserted road. While the drone was in the air, I looked down from the drone’s camera and saw a huge truck barreling toward where I was standing. I left the drone hovering, ran back and moved the car out of the way…
