Little Finland is a remote sandstone mesa East of Lake Mead in Nevada, reached after an hour of hard driving on tortuous roads across open desert.
The mesa's sandstone has been naturally eroded over eons into exotic forms which remind us (Oh, all right. At least they do for me) of phantasmagoric animals. I see dinosaurs, dragons and various assorted monsters. I made an entire gallery of them on my first trip!
I'm sure you’ll see what I mean when you look at the ‘creatures.’ I accomplished a lot here on my earlier visits, but the Phantom drone couldn’t handle the winds around the creatures.
This time I brought a big DJI Inspire drone, which could hover in front of the cliff and see some detail of the formations and their locations.
