These tunnels were blasted out of the narrow canyon in the 1920s for mining trains to pass through. My drones have trouble maneuvering in such places, apparently because they can’t access their navigational satellites through the rock. As a result, your fingers have to be working the controls at all times.
I also had not seen this when I visited KRQE!
One moment I relaxed my grip, and suddenly the drone was headed for the wall behind me! Remember, they are designed to stay in place if one releases the controls!
