I visited Abiquiu Lake in 2016 and found it a scenic, healthy reservoir.
After seeing that, you may be as stunned as I was to see how low the water level in the lake was in October of 2018. The river flow below the dam was still adequate for the farmers, but the lake itself needs a strong El Nino this Winter (which is forecast). I sure hope so.
