Fall Foliage In The Manti-LaSal Mountains
Moab Fall 2016

Aerial Photography Using Drones

The Manti-LaSal Loop is a 30-mile, winding series of paved and dirt road through the foliage. In late September and early October, the foliage bloosoms in brilliant colorshigh on the peaks, and the color slowly makes its way down to the town.

The drone opens up entirely new vistas, even on days when the weather is iffy, as it was when I went to Oiwah Lake. There, the drone got rained on while it was in the air!

However, as I drove away down the mountain, I saw a huge expanse of blue sky headed my way, so I raced back up to the 8,500-foot-high glen and launched.
