This adventure was affected greatly by the remains of a hurricane producing thunderstorms—which did immense damage to these roads.
The western approach to Cathedral Valley involves a river crossing, and the river was too high and strong to cross. On the East, Caineville Wash Road is always difficult, but each day I was here the storms overnight would make it worse. I got to know a lot of gullies.
Still, I persisted to reach the formations shown here, which were worth the struggle it took to get here! The Inspire drone soared up to the tops of the formations on a beautiful sunny day. The rest is poetry…
