9 Grosvenor Arch
Central Utah Summer 2015Aerial Photography Using Drones
Ten miles South of Kodachrome Basin, on the dirt road known as Cottonwood Canyon Road, we find the Grosvenor Arch. I visited it on an earlier expedition, and still remember how viciously the flying crocodiles or whatever bugs there were, bit. Refer to the first trip in 2012!!!
It hasn't gotten easier, though I did wear DEET against the bugs this time.
This time I had the drones, so I explored the nearby lake and videoed the tops of the arch and its companion formations. I have also included videos of the relatively smooth but gully-riven road North of Grosvenor. I really wanted to explore the road South from Grosvenor, but as you will see, recent thunderstorms have made it a car-breaker. My car hates me, and with good reason.
