Colorado Summer 2017

Returning from my 2017 trip to Wyoming, I stopped for a day in Grand Junction.
The most unusual attraction here is the Colorado National Monument, which I have visited in prior years.
On this visit, I experimented with flying above the park from legal launch points outside the park’s borders. I couldn’t get as close as I wished to the formations despite flying more than a half mile. Still, this is a look from the drones’ viewpoint.

I also did a flight out over the Colorado River, which runs right through town.
